Check out the two videos on this page.
One is “Old Skool” where you would apply touch up paint let it dry for a day or so then level it with wet sand paper. Still a “legit” way to do a nice car touch up paint repair if all you have is touch up paint and wet sand paper and no leveling solvent.
It takes longer because you have to let the touch up paint dry for at least 24hrs (sometimes longer) if you have temperature about 70F. If you are dealing with cold temps (below 60F) you may have to wait a few days
touch up paint takes a long time to fully cure because it has to air dry.
The other shows the solvent method to level touch up paint and also shows two different ways to apply touch up paint with precision. ENJOY!
This is still a perfectly legit way to do car touch up paint repairs if you don’t have a touch up paint leveling solvent.

The trick to doing really nice looking hand touch ups is to first get the area as shiny as possible….BEFORE you apply touch up paint. Most people try to do it the other way around and end up making a big mess of the touch up paint repair.
Touch up paint repairs done by hand, even by a Pro, will never be invisible. The only way to do that is to respray the area. However in the biz… Pro’s call it a “save” if they can minimize the appearance to the point where it is only noticeable if you stick you nose in it.
With good videos, support and easy to follow directions and a few basic accessories to apply and level the touch up paint repair anyone can get really nice touch up paint results…and “save” a boat load of money in the process.
