One is “Old Skool” where you would apply touch up paint let it dry for a day or so then level it with wet sand paper. Still a “legit” way to do a nice car touch up paint repair if all you have is touch up paint and wet sand paper and no leveling solvent.
It takes longer because you have to let the touch up paint dry for at least 24hrs (sometimes longer) if you have temperature about 70F. If you are dealing with cold temps (below 60F) you may have to wait a few days
