Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Karl Eberhardt and if you are like me, you are a car enthusiast. I blame my dad for it... he was the one responsible for putting me behind the wheel of a 1959 Corvette when I was 2 years old! It was all downhill from there. First it was bikes, then motorcycles and then my first car was a 1964 VW bus. It was the epitome of surferdom and the essential surf vehicle for my extended surf adventures.
I’ve always been a little different than the average Joe. My love for surfing started pretty early at about 12 yrs old... actually for southern California that was pretty standard, but what did set me apart back then was that right away I decided that I needed to build my own board. I didn’t know a thing about it, but I found someone who did so I bought the materials I was told I would need and with a short description of how to build a surfboard I was off and running.
One thing lead to another and by the time I was 15, I was really good at it! I put together my own surfboard factory in my parent’s backyard (yes… they are very understanding people). Before I knew it our house was like grand central station and I started making pretty good money. I developed a great reputation for building exactly what my customers wanted in a custom board and I sold them for a great price.
I learned at a very early age what it takes to make and keep happy customers and they are lessons I have NEVER forgotten. I also backed my product with my word…if my customer didn’t like the board for any reason…I gave them their money back or made them another board right away… whatever made them happy.

Times were great and biz was very good and as I got into my 20’s the car thing began to kick in… my second passion. I had a great thing going… when the surf was large (in winter) my business was slower… perfect combo… more time on my hands to surf the best waves! And on the days when work was slow and the surf was down I had free time on my hands, so I began to work part time for a friend that had an auto restoration business.
He did ground up restorations of every imaginable car from vintage Porsche Speedsters to Dino Ferraris’ and a few American muscle cars here and there. I apprenticed at my friends shop in exchange to work on my own cars and learn the craft.
I learned the old school craft of auto body work, attention to details and using your hands a lot rather than power tools. Since I was already a master surfboard craftsman and very hands on… I was a quick study. His clients were very picky about the quality of the finish… so the only way to really get a truly perfect finish is to put a lot of love into the work and do much of the finish work by hand.
Note: Have you ever wondered why Ferraris are so expensive in the first place? It is because they are still hand crafted… even in this day of modern technology. Sure Ferraris use state of the art manufacturing methods and materials…but did you know it takes Ferrari about ONE WEEK or about 40 hours of labor in the upholstery department to make one single leather interior for every Ferrari that comes out of Modena! Do you know that an assembly line in Detroit produces 1000 complete cars in one week?
I continued honing my craft by building boards and restoring and building cars for more than 20 years before getting back to my entrepreneurial roots. About that time, custom sailboards were hot so I leased a huge building and built my very own full on custom sailboard factory. I recruited a team of craftsmen and I was in business! Custom sailboards were, for the most part, big surfboards but they did require special processes very different from how a surfboard is built…and the best part for a entrepreneur was that a custom sailboard sold for 5 times what a surfboard did and customers demanded perfection. It was right up my alley… customers that really appreciate a high quality product.
Business was good and I rode the wave of success while my love for cars continued to grow however, I began to get restless and there was a new world beginning to explode with regard to electronics and computers around 1990. I decided to sell the sailboard factory and go back to college and get a industrial engineering degree. I spent the next 13 years in the corporate world as a Biotech engineer and in my spare time my passion turned to BMWs, surfing and mountain bike racing.
I have come full circle… I left the corporate world to once again get back to my roots. Now I’ve combined all of my experience as a surf board craftsman, automobile restoration specialist and engineering professional to put together the best scratch removal formulation with the most comprehensive usage video and customer support available anywhere!
With over two decades of professional experience in polishing fiberglass and automobile paint and 13 years of engineering and computer expertise I decided to create a product for people who really care about their cars like I do. Just like my surfboard customers when I was 15 and my sailboard customers when I was 30, my goal is to create satisfied customers who appreciate a quality product.
I guarantee that you will be blown away by how awesome your car looks after using CSR! Just as it was when I was 15, my word is something that my customers take to the bank. I will do whatever it takes to make and keep YOU a satisfied customer! You see I am NOT in this for a fast buck…which is clear from my past. I am only interested in offering the absolutely best product possible with industry leading product support to help ensure you are confident and successful.
P.S. You might wonder why the unusual names for the Car Scratch Remover components…well I like to have fun with my work and don’t like to take life too seriously. As you may have guessed the CSR component names are inspired from my long career in the surfboard business and the surfing lifestyle.
Thanks for stopping by and have a totally awesome day!
