You cant apply paint with surgical precision with the funky brush that comes with touch up paint bottles because they put  WAY TOO much paint on the chip or scratch.

If all you have is touch up paint…see if you can get a syringe and tip like the type you use to refill a  inkjet cartridge, at least you will be able to control the flow with precision and this is the best way to do reeeaaaaaallly looooong key scratches.

A syringe works awesome for long key scratches bc you can use the scratch as guide for the syringe tip….and just pull it along the entire scratch all in one shot!
